Get up and go, with Melody!
In memory of Melody Angelini, help us to stay funded. Your donation, in any amount, will help other blind and visually impaired veterans to have the same experiences that many of us shared with Melody.

Melody and her husband, Lou, co-founded HBCA in 1981. The purpose was to develop a supporting network of Blind and Visually Impaired Veterans who completed training at the Central Blind Rehabilitation Center (Hines).
The first Hines Alumni reunion occurred in 1981. Throughout over 15,000 volunteer hours, Melody orchestrated events for our veterans including Brookfield Zoo outings, Museum of Science and Industry trips, Chicago Architecture boat tours, and classical concerts. She made sure that veterans at CBRC who were away from home on holidays had a hug and a home cooked meal.

Let’s keep the torch burning!

In our efforts to support blinded veterans through continuing dialog, we need donations to continue our activities.

What does e-Funding look like?

Donations provide for recreational activities for blinded veterans in training at Hines, the bi-annual alumni picnic, annual meetings, and general expenses. We will join the 21st century by accepting membership dues and donations through secure online Pay Pal.
